Limestone countertops are becoming more and more popular in the Birmingham, Alabama area.  While limestone can hold a very high polish and people enjoy the crisp, clear reflection some people like the soft warm colors of a satin finish or the holiness of a matte finish. Here is an example of a highly polished limestone countertop that  had a whole lot of etching.
